I won't go into detail about the trip- check emily's blog for that =)But roadtrips are definitly good times. It wasn't only about super deals and waiting for emily outside the change room at abercrombie kids, i also really enjoyed our car ride.. "Okay Adrian, your turn to share".. "So are there any girls in YOUR life Eric?".. ahh...i miss you guys.
Emily: "Wow, it's really chilly here"
Amanda: "Ofcourse, we're south of the boarder"
Ahhhh...

Quirks
The nun who collect beer caps or the cat who keeps the tail of her prey. Quirks can "spice" up any personality. Seeing how amanda is super bored cuz everyone else has a job so there's no one to play with her. I decided to blog about some of my quirks. 1. I always keep a fork (preferably) or a spoon in my backpack/purse (whatever i'm using on that day). This is not because i'm afraid of "germs (my wonderful macrophages, B-cells, T-cells are better than that!). I do this just incase i'm at school or church..and someone pulls out there super delicious looking lunch..at the right moment, i can bust out my own fork/spoon and start going at it(ahem, Mic). As a result of my habit for many years now, the number of utensils in our cabinet has been slowly depleting. However mother doesn't know where they're going- only slowly disappearing. She mentioned the other day that we need to buy more forks. he hee....i went looking through all my backpacks/bags/purses...i found 4 and returned them =) 2. If you recall Professor Herby's amazing ecology course last semester...I learned alot in that class. He's a very convincing/passionate/easy on the eyes lecturer (don't worry, i'm not going to bring that up again). One of the "issues" he talked about was the lack of fresh water and how the Americans are trying to get their hands on ours (Canada's). Sooo...in our everyday lives, there's something that (hopefully) we ALL do that contribute to this shortage *drum roll*...flushing the toilet! Let's approximate...maybe 4 liters of water?...for a few milliliters of yellow urine..? eeesh..is it really necessary? Let's try to be gentle stewards when it comes to this beautiful planet!Ever heard of the phrase "if it's yellow, let it mellow..?" Since last december, i've been "mellowing my yellow" ..only at home ofcourse. I'd save it until it looks more "concentrated"..i.e. a deeper, golden yellow..then *flush*. Since mother is the only one that cleans the toilet around here, she quickly caught on. I tried to justify my actions but the environment isn't exactly a top priority in her life- especially if she needs to spend more time cleaning the "yellow rings". No worries, i'll flush after 4 visits instead of 6...and i've become more "sneaky" in doing so ^_~
One week without school- nothing interesting yet everyday seems to be filled with something. From waitressing at a family restaurant ...to shopping with mommy...to driving my mom around. Lots of family time! I took my grams to the hospital yeterday- and got a $60 ticket *sigh*...not to mention i paid $12 for parking before/after.Free time can be dangerous. It's easy to sit back, day after day.. because you know there's always the next day to accomplish whatever there is on the agenda. Ah, need to be productive. On a brighter note, i'm quite up to date with this oasis retreat planning and emails.I'm really looking forward to the cottage next week =) I took it onto myself to plan an itinerary muhahaa.. I'm going to be the program nazi. And for those who are reading and have NOT handed in their oasis retreat registration form.... HAND IT IN!!!! Spaces are limited.
